Seasons of Danvers
This former nursing facility, vacant for several years and in a state of disrepair, was renovated by Buildable Sites and The Northbridge Company. Working with JSA Architects, RBLA (then UBLA) completely redesigned the outdoor space for this adaptive reuse project. Now home to a cutting-edge dementia care facility, the 'crown jewel' of the outdoor space is a large central landscaped courtyard. This space provides beautiful views from the interior, shaded structures, a walking loop, and abundant plantings in a safe, enclosed environment. Seasons at Danvers was a 2016 Environments for Aging Magazine Remodel - Renovation awards finalist.
